Does anything get fitted to my car?
No. The car stays on the ground; the Pod’s rails run along the ground either side of it and the shell closes over it without touching it.
Do I have to line anything up?
No. The car is parked as normal; the valet rolls the Pod to it, lines it up with its lasers and locks its wheels. Deploy stays locked until everything is centred.
Does it close and lock by itself?
Yes. Once the valet holds Deploy, the shell closes, the end wall seals and every joint locks automatically, and the climate system starts.
Will it fit my car?
The Pod sizes itself to the car: up to 6.25 m long, 2.10 m wide and 2.15 m tall. That is every passenger car, luxury SUV and full-size pickup. The GMC Hummer EV, dual-rear-wheel trucks and high-roof vans do not fit.
Is it climate-controlled?
Yes. Each Pod has a heat pump for cooling in summer and heating in winter, filtered fans circulating the air from a low intake to a high exhaust, and dew-point control against condensation and frost.
What does it cost?
$100 an hour with a three-hour minimum, plus a 20% valet gratuity included at checkout — $360 minimum for three hours. Everything is paid in the app, so no cash changes hands.
Who gets the money?
The 20% gratuity goes in full to the valet who ran your Pod. The hourly fee is shared between the venue and OverHalo, which owns and maintains the Pods.
What does a venue pay?
Nothing. OverHalo places the Pods free. The venue provides the spots, a 240 V supply at each, a place to keep the Pods, daily cleaning and its valets, and earns half of every hourly fee.
Can I watch my car?
Yes. The app shows a live view, the lock state and the temperature inside, and you can share the live view.
Where does the power come from?
A 240 V supply fed from behind the Pod into its back, so no cable crosses the space. A backup battery covers moves and power cuts.
What happens if someone is inside when it closes?
It will not move. Presence sensing checks first and keeps checking while it is closed, and every moving edge stops and reverses on contact.
What if the power fails?
It stays where it is, locked, on its backup battery. A manual release inside and a valet key outside open it without power.
Is it hail-proof?
We do not claim that. The panels are impact-resistant polycarbonate, but no hail test has been run yet.
When is it available?
OverHalo is in development. The first Pods go to a small number of flagship venues.
